MITCHELL, Kathy Lynn - passed away peacefully on Friday, October, 28th 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Kathy was born to Welles and Georgann Hall on April 20th, 1958 in Flint, MI. She was a 1976 graduate of Davison High School and went on to earn a degree from Northwestern Michigan College. In 1979 she married the love of her life, Thomas Mitchell. Together, they welcomed their only child in 1983. Kathy worked as retail manager until she began her courageous 30-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was an amazing stay-at-home mother and wife. Through all the struggles, nothing dimmed her sense of humor or love of life. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and they loved watching movies together. While Kathy’s passing was unexpected, her family finds comfort in the fact that she is finally free of all suffering and now walks with God. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Welles and Georgann. She is survived by her husband Thomas; daughter Kimberly and husband Ryan Retzloff, grandchildren Olivia and Jaxson; and her brother David Hall. Also, her longtime friend, Joan Boss.
