VanZandt, David Carl – of Flint, age 89, died Sunday, July 28, 2019.
A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Pastor Tom Mattiuzzo officiating.
David was born in Bay City, MI on August 3, 1929, the son of the late Charles and Rose (Lear) VanZandt.
In 1956, David married Billie Fern McCullough, the love of his life. David retired from General Motors after a rewarding 47-year career. He was an active member of Riverside Tabernacle. What kept him going in his later years, was his involvement in his church’s food program, The Storehouse, where he worked 3 days a week helping the community that he loved. David had a BIG heart and he spent his life sharing with others.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Billie VanZandt. Surviving siblings include William VanZandt, Lily Gasman, Robert VanZandt, Harold VanZandt and Treasa Spivey.
