REED, Carolyn Ann -- Age 86, of Swartz Creek formerly of Fenton, died , March 3, 2019. Beloved mom/grandmother/wife/friend/sister. Services will be held 11AM Wednesday June 12 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Those desiring may make contributions to the Shriners Children's Hospital. Carolyn was born December 19, 1932 in Flint, the daughter of Edgar George and Katherine Grace ( Breviers) Jones. She married Donald L. Reed in Flint on April 4, 1953. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School . She was a bookkeeper in the Operations Department at 1st National Bank of Fenton. Carol was actively involved with Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and a part of the Women's Activity Group there, happily assisting with Gifting to Children's Charities and other church functions. She enjoyed bowling and ceramics. Carolyn was Loved, Cherished, Fun-Loving, Vivacious and Vibrant, and represented Gods Light of Sunshine to so many family and friends, who embraced her Out-going and Giving Personality. She always focused on her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In Carol's eyes, a stranger was a Friend she just hadn't met yet! She could brighten your day with her radiant smile! Carol beamed when she talked about her family, and her Faith was a Testament to her Love for God.
She is survived by her husband, Donald L. Reed; children, Donald M (Jan) Reed; Lori Reed Bireta; Vickie (Duane) Edman, Cindy (Randy) Swain; grandchildren, Melissa ( Brendan) Jonland, Michelle Reed, Madison, Brandon Swain,Shalie Bireta, Keilaigh; great grandchildren, Sloane Jonland, Timmy Michael and Makiah; brother, Norman Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Jones; sister, Shirley Daignault. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
