STEPHEN, Verble – Of Flint, age 81, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 at American House Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday, April 22, 2019
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Don Dennis and Reverend Mona Huff co-officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LBDA, Lewy Body Dementia Association.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Verble was born in Hyati, Missouri on November 30, 1937, the daughter of Buell and Nona (Stacy) Drope.
On March 16, 1953 she married Berneil Stephen and they were married for 62 years, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2015.
Surviving are three children, Anneda Harris,
Jan (O.J.) Good and
Terry (Shelley) Stephen;
four grandchildren, Aaron Siverling, Nicole Siverling, Jeremy Good and Skyler Harris;
two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kaithlyn Whitfield;
siblings, Evelyn Hill, Farrel Franklin, Shirley Thompson, Verlin Drope and Jerry Drope;
one brother-in-law, Larry Stephen;
two sisters-in-law, Joan Kubiak and Joyce Nolen.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alvera Hendrix and Lawanda Cook.
