STEWART, Kathryn “Kathy” Alice (Holbeck) – of Davison, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Monday, October 23, 2017 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint or Home Furever Rescue of Detroit, MI, in Kathy’s memory.
Kathy was born in Flint, MI on August 22, 1943, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Cunningham) Holbeck. She married Reginald B. Stewart on July 14, 1962 and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1989. Kathy retired from Buick City in 1997 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Buick Local #599. Kathy enjoyed traveling on bus trips with her UAW friends.
Kathy is survived by 2 daughters, Leah (Kevin) Weidenhammer and Tina (Danielle) Stewart-Komer; 2 granddaughters, Kelsie (Lt. Patrick O. Maguire) and Kylie (Joe Dion); 2 great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Emersyn; great-grandson, Liam; 4 brothers, Ronald, Robert (Elfi), William (Linda) and Frank Jr (Carolyn) Holbeck; sister, Doris (William) Henry; sister-in-law, Shirley Holbeck; long-time friend, Debbie Ogles; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Duane and Larry Holbeck; 2 sisters, Patricia Jackson and Sharon Firman.
