WODOWSKI, Esther J. – of Burton, age 91, passed away July 4, 2012 at The Pines of Burton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30 PM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Esther was born in Hamtramck, MI on November 6, 1920, daughter of the late Michael and Bertha (Kupiec) Kowalski. Esther Kowalski married John Wodowski on March 30, 1940. John preceded her in death on December 10, 2005. Esther was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. Esther also enjoyed traveling with her husband, John.
Esther is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Peter) Misale and Peggy (Bob) Eichorn; daughter-in-law, Barb Swartz-Wodowski; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Adam (Helen) Wodowski and family. She was preceded in death by her son, John Wodowski, on July 25, 2011 and brothers, Mitchell and Thadius Kowalski.
