BELLMORE, Derwain John “Wayne” - Of Swartz Creek, age 88, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his residence.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.

Mr. Bellmore will lie in state in church Wednesday after 10am.

Father Steve Anderson will preside. Burial with Military Honors will be at 9:30 am Friday, November 28, 2014 in Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 3-8pm Tuesday, with the Rosary being prayed Tuesday evening at 7pm at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

Wayne was born May 16, 1926 in Hermansville, Michigan where he grew up on a farm.
He served in the United States Navy and the Pacific Theatre during World War II, engaging the enemy in the battle of Okinawa.
He come to Flint in 1949 to work for Fisher Body where he was employed as a welder and foreman for the next 32 years.
Wayne was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for over 60 years and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He married M. Gloria Trombley in 1950. Wayne was a dedicated husband, father and family man. From their 64-year marriage came four children:
Chuck of Franklin, TN, Kathy Orr (Jim) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dave (Benda) of Hastings, MI, and John (Dalynda) of Saginaw;
Five grandchildren: Christopher Orr, Lisa Orr, Matthew Orr, Joshua Bellmore, Kenny Bellmore.
