GALLAGHER, Raymond Joseph – of Mt. Morris, age 78, passed away at his cabin in St. Helen, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2019 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Raymond was born April 17, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Valentean (McKeon) Gallagher. He grew up in Mt. Morris and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School with the class of 1960. On July 18, 1964 he married Linda Funch in Mt. Morris. Prior to his retirement on August 1, 1990 Raymond worked for GM in the Truck and Bus Flint Metal Fabrication Plant with 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Nascar, U of M Wolverines, and the Detroit Tigers. Raymond also liked going to the casino and gardening. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and taking his grandchildren fishing. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Hannah of Heartland Hospice of West Branch, Michigan.
Surviving are: Wife of 55 years Linda; Children, Deanna (Walter) Hoskey, Terry (Craig “Clyde” Stevens) Gallagher, Cindy (Darren) Reynolds, April (Jason) Squires; Grandchildren, Tricia (Steve) Hall, Nicole (Zachary) Edelen, Stephen (Emily) Reynolds, Ashley (Jake) Roberts, Jacob (Brandi) Squires, Allison “Alley” Reynolds, Joshua “Josh” Squires, Angelina “Ginga” Geary, Whitney Hoskey, Tisha Hoskey; Great Grandchildren, Alyssa Jaggers, Jayden Hinman, Calleigh Reynolds, Sydney Stevens; God Daughter, Tina Godfrey; Siblings, Lon Gallagher, Randy (Nancy) Gallagher, Maureen (Robert) Schultz, Tim (Paula) Gallagher; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Siblings, Bill Thomas, Thomas P. Gallagher, Eva Doyka, Greg Gallagher, Mike Gallagher.
