Jeannette Joyce Fick, 82, a 61 year resident of Lapeer (formerly of Rapid River), died Tuesday May 5, 2015. She was born August 21, 1932 in Gladstone to parents James and Mary (Brokeheart) Huff. She married Harold "Joe" Fick on December 4, 1954 in Roseville.
Mrs. Fick was a constant at the family's, Fick's Market. She was like a mother to all of her regular customers at the store. Jeannette also enjoyed going to the casino when she had a chance. Above all else, she loved and was loved in return; by her family. Mrs. Fick was a wonderful mother and doting grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Jean (Lee) Yorton of Columbiaville, Hilda (Ken Burton) Novak of Lapeer, Ralph (Debbie) Fick of Columbiaville, Jim (Rennie) Fick of Lapeer, Mary (Larry) Okoniewski of Lapeer, Jody Fick of Davison, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Mrs. Fick was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Fick in 2009, son: Mike in 2003, 5 siblings and her parents.
Her visitation will be 1-4 & 6-8pm this Thursday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Jeannette's funeral will be 11:00am Friday May 8, 2015 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Steve Morris. Burial will be in Oregon Township Cemetery, Columbiaville. www.muirbrotherslapeer.com |
