HYDE, Gerald Wayne - Of Flushing, age 79, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at McLaren-Flint.
Cremation has taken place.
Gerald was born in Flint on December 1, 1937, the son of Artha W. and Marie A. (Banks) Hyde. He was a resident of Flint, Burton and Oklahoma. Gerald attended Atherton High School. Gerald was previously married to Sybil Marthew Hyde Ford. He belonged to a C.B. Radio club in the 70’s and traveled in his younger years, visiting New Orleans and California. During his children’s younger years, he enjoyed going to the family cabin in Mecosta, MI for fishing and sailing the pontoon. Gerald was a rough frame carpenter. Gerald also enjoyed listening and watching sports. His favorite teams were the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are Kimberly (Hyde) Chamberlain and husband Alan, Scott Hyde, Wendy (Hyde) Klosowski and husband Steve, and Chad Hyde;
grandchildren, Amanda Hyde, Kyle Hyde, Alex Klosowski and wife Kaleigh, Mallory Klosowski, Lucas Chamberlain, Lizann Chamberlain, and James Tate;
great-granddaughter, Mila Rose Tate;
siblings, Charles Hyde, Donna Wendling, Eunice and Dale Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Paul Hyde, Dale Hyde and Jackie Hyde.
