HAIGHT, Juanita Marie, age 89, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Grand Blanc Church of Christ, 4028 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Minister John Henson officiating. Juanita was born April 18, 1925 in Mt. Morris, Michigan the daughter of Carl and Lois (Evans) Hecker. She married Norman Haight on October 19, 1946. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. Juanita graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education. She was employed by Atherton Community Schools where she taught second grade at both the Fisk and VanY buildings. She retired and moved to Florida in 1984 and returned to Michigan in May 2014. Both Norm and Juanita loved to travel and were able to visit many countries. Juanita was a member of Grand Blanc Church of Christ and Palmetto Church of Christ, Florida. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Janice (Howard) Snyder, Charlene (Dr. Tom) Pardee; grandchildren, Timothy (Megan) Snyder, Amy Pardee, Dr. Jonathan Snyder (Miguel Amoraga Martinez), Bethany Pardee; great-granddaughters, Molly and Emma Snyder.She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Haight, daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Norman Winch; parents, Carl and Lois Hecker; brother, Carl Hecker Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256 (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E.
