Buffa, Mildred (Blakeslee), formerly Mildred Remington, of Flint age 77 died July 4, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. There will be a memorial service 11am July 21, 2012 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Flint, 2474 S Ballenger Hwy, Flint. Mildred, known by many as Milly, graduated valedictorian from Northern High School in 1952. She graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. Teaching, education & her achievements were her life. Milly was very involved in The Boy Scouts of America, receiving many awards. She enjoyed camping & was a long time member of The Flintstones Camping Club. Milly was very involved with senior ministries at her church, Ignite Flint (formerly City of Hope). She is survived by husband Gaetano Buffa, children: June (Steven) Urdy, Gaetano (Renee) Buffa II, stepchildren: Gary (Ann) Francisco, Elnora (Randy) Thayer, Betty Buffa & Randy (Wanda) Buffa, sister Linda (Jack) Dickerson & many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Milly was preceded in death by her stepson Ronald Buffa & brothers Robert & Gerald Blakeslee.
