HAWKINS, De Ette Gwen - Of Flint, age 87, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society or the SPCA in mom’s name.
Visitation 12 noon until 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. There will be no service.
Cremation will take place following the visitation.
De Ette was born in Seattle, WA on October 12, 1924. She graduated High School from Belle Plaine, MN. She then attended McAllister College in St. Paul MN and also the University of Dubuque, IA. De Ette worked for Clinard Photographic Studio in Royal Oak, MI and also worked for Montgomery Wards in the display department for 10 years in Flint.
Surviving are daughter, Kathleen Hawkins of Flower Mound, TX;
sons, David Hawkins of Vista, Ca and Mark and wife Marianne Hawkins of The Hague, Netherlands;
grandchildren, Gregory Douglas, Mark Elliott, Annebeth Nicole, and Amber FuYan Cen.
