KOSHABA, Wilson “Joe” – age 89 of Flushing, MI passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center – Fostrian in Flushing. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Flushing Presbyterian Church – 5010 N. McKinley Rd. Flushing, MI. Visitation will take place before the service, at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rev. Teresa Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park, with a luncheon at the church afterwards. Wilson was born March 5, 1928 to parents John and Salby (Benjamin) Koshaba. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army. Wilson was united in marriage to Annie Cherveny on February 5, 1949. Wilson Worked for General Motors, at Buick City, for 45 years. Wilson was a current member of Flushing Presbyterian Church and former member of Flint Community Presbyterian Church, having served as a deacon, usher, and on the Men’s Chapter. He loved to garden and work in his yard. For years, Wilson volunteered with Big Brothers of Flint. He was a lifelong blood donor at the American Red Cross. Surviving are his children, Debbie (Mark) Hyde of Grand Blanc, and Carol (Mike) Brabbs of Flushing; grandchildren, Amber (Rob) Campbell, Noel Hyde, Julia (Scott) Beattie, Hollie Brabbs, and Kelsey Hyde; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Grayson, Anna, and Knox; sisters-in-law, Lillian Rolla and Geraldine Cherveny; many nieces and nephews. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, parents; brothers, Carl, George, and William; sisters, Jean Virginia, Deana, and Bella. Special thanks to Fostrian (especially Joan and Natasha) and McLaren Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
