Dennis R. Wolfe, age 83, of Oakley, Michigan, passed away on November 24, 2024, at his home.
Born on February 19, 1941, to Niles and Emma (Thiel) Wolfe, Dennis grew up on the family’s centennial dairy farm. He began working on the farm at a young age and continued to live there, raising his own family.
Dennis met Rosalie Zuckschwerdt, and it was love at first sight. The couple married on July 30, 1966, at the Lakefield Methodist Church, and together they raised two children. Dennis proudly served his country by joining the Army National Guard.
Dennis was dedicated farmer, he had a passion for all things outdoors, including hunting and attending farm auctions. Dennis was also an avid fan of NASCAR races, often looking forward to the excitement at Owosso Speedway. His other hobbies included playing pool, boxing, snowmobiling, visiting the casino, and tinkering in his workshed.
Dennis was a proud member of the MMPA, showcasing his commitment to his lifetime occupation in agriculture. His life was deeply rooted in the farm he loved, and nothing mattered more to him than his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He was a constant presence at their events, his love and support unwavering.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosalie Wolfe; sons, Bob (Mindy) Wolfe and Scott (Lisa) Wolfe; grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandria, Gabriella, Tristan, Jonathan, Morgan, Jason and Jenna; great grandchildren, Macee, Riley, Dawson, Greyson, Fabian and Jasmine; sisters Judy (Doug) McClleand, Ruthann (Gerald) Zatocil.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Norman, Dale, Ron, Louis, Jeanette, Judy, and Gorman; special nephew Jim that help care for him, and goodfriends Bob Pollick and Kenny Nixon.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11am at the McGeehan Funeral Homes, Martin Chapel. The funeral will follow at the same location at 2pm. Burial will follow at ridge road cemetery will military honors.
