Clyde Lathan “Bud” Young II age 69, of Davison, beloved husband, brother and uncle, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2018 at his Upper Peninsula vacation home. Clyde was born in Flint, Michigan the son of the late Clyde Lathan and Stella Lee (Ward) Young. He attended MSU and U of M, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Michigan, where he also pursued a Masters Degree.
Clyde retired from GM with 30 yrs of service as toolmaker. He was a Vietnam era Veteran serving in Korea. Clyde married Deborah Dean Brownson on July 30, 1977. They enjoyed 41 year of marriage. Clyde was a man of many talents and interests who continued to pursue his love of learning throughout his life. He had a great appreciation for, and love of nature.
Clyde leaves his wife Deborah to cherish his memory. He is also survived by sisters Joyce (McNeal) Barllett, Jane (Mark) Johnson, Jan (Ron) Dowdy, and sister-in-law Susan Brownson Russell, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Clyde also leaves his very special pet friends, Bailey and Molly. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde L and Stella Young, brother Robert McNeal and sister Sharon Moreland. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2- 4:30 pm Saturday July 28, 2018, with a Celebration of Life at 4:30 pm Saturday at Hansen Funeral Home. Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell, Celebrant. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
