PARILLO, Anthony M. – Of Grand Blanc, age 72, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint,
Father David Harvey officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Dr. Parillo will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Anthony was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 6, 1940, son of the late Anthony M. and Julia P. (Malie) Parillo.
Dr. Parillo received Under Graduate and his Medical Doctorate from The Ohio State University.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Dr. Parillo attended St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint and attended St. Vincent DePaul in Fort Myers, Florida. He was a man of Faith.
Dr. Parillo was a member of the Flint Golf Club; the Verandah Golf Club and the Caloosa Birding Club in Florida.
He was an avid golfer; enjoyed reading, birding, movies; loved animals, wildlife, the arts and Ohio State Football (Go Bucks!)
Dr. Parillo was a Radiologist at Genesys and St. Joseph Hospital, where he practiced for 35 years.
Surviving are sons, Anthony Jr. (Stacy), Mark and Michael (Tammy);
grandsons, Ben, Sam, Jake, Joey, Noah, Drew and Jack;
special friend, Cindy Robson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pat, John and Vince.
