FORD, Charles “Chuck” – of Goodrich, age 78, passed away September 9, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Judson Baptist Church, 4471 E. Atherton Rd., Burton, MI 48519; Pastor Greg Rowan and Pastor Joel Walther co-officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodrich United Methodist Church for “DOG Night”, Make-A-Wish Foundation or Judson Baptist Church Urban Revival.
Charles was born in Flint, MI on September 19, 1939, son of the late William and Charlotte (Winer) Ford. He married Margaret King on June 15, 1963. Charles retired from GM Truck and Bus after 40.2 plus years of service. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Teresa (Jim) McBride and Ralph “Bill” (Stacey) Ford; grandchildren, Anthony, Garth, Rebecca, Phoenix, Jacob, Liliana, Brandon and Nicholas (Andrea); great-grandchildren, Lewis, Austin and Lucas; siblings, Irene Young, Robert (Joyce) Ford and Gary (Pam) Ford; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Gordon) Guile and Linda King; brother-in-law, Jerry King; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Phillip Ford, Melvin Ford, Shirley Welstead, Charlene Ford and Edward Ford; brother-in-law, James King.
