KERRY, Bryon S. – of Burt, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Ted McCulloch officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Bryon was born February 18, 1989 in Saginaw, Michigan to Matthew Kerry and Lisa (Grim) McPherson. He graduated from Birch Run High School in 2008. Bryon was employed with Meijer in Birch Run for 9 years. He was a faithful member of Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church in Birch Run. Bryon loved fishing, kayaking, playing Pokémon, fireworks, playing the lottery, listening to music, and trips to Frankenmuth. He enjoyed eating Koegel hot hogs and sweets, especially – Moon Pies, banana bread, and cinnamon rolls. Bryon was quite the jokester with a wonderful personality. He loved his family and playing with his niece and nephews. Bryon will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Mother, Lisa McPherson; Father, Matthew “Cooky” Kerry; Sister, Kristian (Thomas) Kozlowski; Grandmother, Mavis Grim; Aunts and uncles: Lori Grim, James Grim, Brad (Wendy) Grim, Karyl (Dr. James) Young, and Michael (Sandi) Kerry; Cousin, Kelly (Nathan) Koerber; Niece and nephews: Gabrielle, Blake, and Collin Kozlowski; Best friends: Scott and Zachary; Special friends, Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Yeotis; As well as his extended Meijer family, many other loving family members and dear friends. Bryon was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert Grim on December 26, 2019, and Floyd and Doris Kerry.
