TASSON, Ethel Mae (Gibson) – of Lapeer, age 87, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Whispering Pines in Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Monday July 1, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment will be in Bird Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 10 AM until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paradise Animal Rescue – 2266 N. Lapeer Road, Lapeer, MI 48446, in Ethel’s memory.
Ethel was born in Howell, MI on October 5, 1936, daughter of the late Russell and Mary Gibson. She married Frank Tasson, Jr. on October 30, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2020. Ethel loved gardening, poems, birds and crocheting.
Ethel is survived by her loving daughter, Robyn (Steve) Brisbane; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) Mayer, Joseph A. Tasson, Joshua (Jessica) Brisbane and Adam Brisbane; great-grandchildren, Levi, Zoe, Grace, Tristan, Addison, Kadence, Joslyn, Brielle and Blake; siblings, Connie and Cecil; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph “Joe” (Cheryl) Tasson; granddaughter, Emily Brisbane; and great-grandson, Brantley.
