CUNEAZ, William (Bill) – of Burton, age 81, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 11 AM-2 PM and 4-8PM Friday, February 28, 2020. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Wounded Warriors or any Veterans of Foreign War post in Bill’s honor.
Bill was born in Goodrich, MI on December 31, 1938, son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Butcher) Cuneaz. He served his country in the US Army. Bill met and later married surviving wife, Barbara (Carpenter) Lipp on June 17, 1967. Bill and Barb shared four children, Jeannine (Doug), Mike (Brenda), Tammy (Brad), Mark (Jodi); ten grandchildren Rhonda (Tony), Lisa (Dan), Mitchell (Rushika), Steven (Brittany), Joey (Tabitha), Jacob (Mariah), Rylie, Lauren, Kaleb, Libby; six great-grandchildren, Hailee, Nasreen, Rohan, Hunter, Abbigail and Brady. Bill’s family was the light of his world. He helped to create many wonderful memories with them and thoroughly enjoyed every family gathering, school function and sporting event that could be celebrated together.
Bill, a retiree of General Motors, was an avid woodworker and outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed his time duck hunting on the Saginaw Bay with sons, grandsons and with dear friend, Jack Barnett. Bill cherished his many four-legged family members over the years, including Cub and Sam, who held special places in his heart.
Bill is also survived by his loving siblings, David, Carolyn, Harry, Judy (Mark), Terry (Dawn); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Mildred Cuneaz and a niece, Chris Amanda.
