Ayotte, William Dale – of Clio, age 83, returned home to the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Jim Harvey officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-9 PM, Wednesday from 10-9 PM and Thursday from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM.
William “Bill” was born August 6, 1931 in Flint, Michigan, the son of William Francis and Goldie Mae (Jenks) Ayotte. On August 18, 1950, Bill married the love of his life, Beatrice Elaine Daly. Together they shared 64 years of marriage and were blessed with 5 sons, all of which are surviving: Ronald and wife Lorie, William and wife Mary, Thomas and wife Shelly, Jeffrey and wife Connie, and Daniel and wife Darlene.
Bill graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1950. He was employed by and retired from Hall Steel Company, after 40 years of service. For the next 22 years, Bill and Bea resided part time at their retirement home in Florida where they made many new friends that became very dear to them. Bill was a Christian man, strong in faith, and attended Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church. Hunting and playing golf were his two favorite pastimes that he enjoyed with his friends and family. He was a loving and proud grandfather to his surviving 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his brother, Raymond Ayotte of Byron and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Goldie, brothers: Emil and Elmer (Arnie) Ayotte and sisters: Ramona Miller and Iona Hornak. We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at the Regency of Grand Blanc Skilled Nursing Facility. The family requests that donations be made to the Michael J.
