Fate, Patricia M. of Flushing, age 85, died Sunday, February 28, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church.
Patricia was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 15, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Andres) Streng. She married Robert Fate in Beal City, Michigan on June 20, 1953. Patrica was a longtime and active member of St. Robert Catholic Church, where she was a member of the CCW and the Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening and knitting. Together with her husband, Pat loved to travel, especially going on cruises. Her family was her greatest joy.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; children, Barb (Dave) Woods, Joe (Jan) Fate, Karen (Dave) White, Michael Fate, Jeanette (David) Morrish, Teresa (Steven) Fedosh, Bari (Chris) Pfeiffer; 16 grandchildren, Nicole (Anthony) Piazza, Autumn (Steve) Thompson, Lindsay (Jason) Barr, Erin (Chris) Beam, Ryan (Alli) White, Seth White, Michael John Fate, Matthew (Kelly) Morrish, JeanMarie Morrish, Jennifer Morrish, Danicia, Drew, and Jack Fedosh, Lila and Calvin Pfeiffer; eight great-grandchildren, Gianna, Ava, Hailey, Taylor, Gavin, Morgan, Ashlyn and Tristan; brother, Fred (Pat) Streng; sisters, Maxine (Robert) Finnerty; Geraldine (Richard) Schafer; brother-in-law, Roger Vogler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Angie Marie Fate; and sister, Vera Vogler.
