KINGSBURY, Joan Marie (Edwards) – of Otisville, MI, age 77, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Kingsbury officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 1-3 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home.
Joan was born in Whittemore, MI on March 13, 1947, daughter of the late Cecil and Luella (DeLong) Edwards. Born with a heart full of warmth, Joan married Lyle W. Kingsbury, Sr. on June 19, 1965. Together, they shared 55 beautiful years of marriage before his passing on November 12, 2020. A dedicated attendee of the River of Life Worship Center in Flint, MI, Joan's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a skilled homemaker and compassionate foster parent for over 20 years, she touched many lives with her nurturing spirit. Joan delighted in the simple joys of life, from shopping and cooking for her family to spending tranquil moments with her beloved dog, Buddy, nestled on her lap while watching Jimmy Swaggart. Her greatest joy came from her family. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her greatest comfort was knowing her children and grandchildren walked in faith, serving the Lord with hearts full of devotion. Joan’s love for her family extended to her daily prayers for friends and loved ones, reflecting her deep and abiding faith. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who knew her. Joan’s legacy of love, faith, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Joan is survived by her 3 children, Lyle (Tracy) Kingsbury, Jr., Todd (Tracy) Kingsbury and Luella (Ray) Arntz; 3 foster daughters, Amanda, Rose and Donna; former daughter-in-law, Renee Burley; 10 grandchildren, Kayla (Tyler), Alana (Corey), Brittany (Caleb), Cory, Austin (Des), Kandace (Tyler), Alex, Brenan (Haley), Kareena (Isaac), Carter; 10 great-grandchildren, Levi, Bradley, Thomas, Linkin, Bennett, Riley, Banks, Avery, Penn and Hazel; sister, Laura Cox; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Luella Edwards; husband, Lyle W. Kingsbury, Sr. and 6 siblings.
