SCOTT, Betty J. – of Davison, age 89, passed away October 3, 2019 at Stonegate Health Campus – Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 6434 Richfield Rd., Flint; Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 2-7 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born in Pontiac, MI on July 31, 1930, daughter of the late Harry and Alma (Gage) Hale. She married Robert D. Geeck and of that union were born four children. She later married Estel R. Scott in November of 1974. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2003. Betty enjoyed traveling and volunteering with her husband, Estel “Scotty”.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Janet Geeck; sons, Robert (Diane) Geck, Gerald (Pamela) Geeck and Michael (Peggy) Geeck; grandchildren, Michael Geeck, Steven and Brian Geck; five step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; brother, Elwin (Willa) Hale; sister-in-law, Betty Hale. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Hale.
