SOLOMAN, Edward C. - Of Flint, age 88, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, April 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint, 48532.

Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church or to the family.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Soloman will be at the church 10am Friday until the time of the Mass.
Edward was born in Flint on December 30, 1928, the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Soloman. He served in the United States Army and the National Guard of Michigan and National Guard of the United States. Edward was in the Food Service School at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He attended Walsh Institute of Accounting in Detroit for accounting and business insurance and law. Edward owned E.C. Soloman Inc. for over 30 years as an accountant and tax preparer. He was a member of I.A.A.M. Independent Accountant Association of Michigan.
Edward was also a member of the ELKS Lodge #222 in Flint. He was Elk of the Year and Citizen of the Year and was very involved in other phases of the Elks. He was also a Charter Member of AMSYRLEB Club of Flint. Edward loved to play golf with his golf buddies and played in various charitable events. Edward was an avid U of M football and basketball fan. Surviving are sister, Lorraine and husband Richard J. Accardo;
Nieces and nephews, Rick Accardo and son Domonic Accardo of Grand Blanc, Carol Silver and daughters, Marissa Lyles and Alexis Silver of Waterford, MI, and Greg and Lisa Accardo and their children, Sophia, Sam and Amelia of Holland, MI;
And great-great-nephew, Urijah Bell.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Soloman.
