ALLEN, Ryan W. – of Clio, age 37, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral home in Clio. Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM until 8PM and on Sunday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Ryan’s four children.
Ryan was born February 28, 1980 in Flint, Michigan to William and Sherry (Saunders) Allen. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1999 and later attended SVSU. Ryan was employed with Burkland Industries as a machinist. He attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Flint. Ryan was very involved in youth group wrestling and belonged to MMWA, MYWA, and War of the Roses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, ice racing, and camping with his kids. Ryan also loved all sports. He especially enjoyed wrestling and was honored in 2008 and 2009 as referee of the year.
Surviving are: Fianceé, Christie Adams; Children: Lyric Norwood, Harmony Norwood, Ryen Allen, and Ryder Allen; Parents, Alex and Sherry Allen; Brothers: Woody (Ashley) Allen; Nephew, Ashton Allen. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Fred (Shirley) Saunders, Harold (Wymadene) Allen, and Uncle, Harold Allen.
