Ronald Louis Kalisek Sr, age 68, of Lennon passed away on May 20, 2014 at Hurley Hospital. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at First Free Methodist Church, Owosso with Pastor Paul Parker officiating. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to funeral service.
Ron was born April 24, 1946 in Owosso. He graduated from Corunna Public Schools. On December 9, 1967 Ron married the love his love, his one and only Susan (Swan) and together were blessed with two children Tami & Ronald Jr, four granddaughters Amber, Ashley, Emily & Kylie, and one great-granddaughter Kiya. He served his country in the National Guard. He worked for General Motors and retired from Grand Trunk Railroad. However, Ron’s joy was found farming his family farm with his best friend, his dad Louie. Ron treasured this time working closely with his father and especially when his own son joined them in farming the land until Louie’s passing. He also loved the time he spent hunting with his son and son-in-law. Ron enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren wherever the adventure lead them and always had a joke or laugh for any occasion.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Tami (Darren) Parker; son, Ronald (Mindy) Kalisek Jr; granddaughters, Amber, Emily & Kylie Kalisek and Ashley Parker & great-granddaughter Kiya. He is also survived by mother-in- law Bernice Swan. Ron was predeceased by his father, Louis Kalisek and father- in-law, Charles Swan.
Someone so special can never be forgotten.
