FRANCIS, William - Of Grand Blanc, age 90, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Darry Nagel officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Please do not send flowers.
Visitation 12 Noon Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
William was born in Fayette, Pennsylvania on August 13, 1927, the son of the late William and Bessie (Burris) Francis and was a resident of Grand Blanc for the past 20 years. On September 15, 1956, he married Helen Schaffstein. William served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed at Art Van, Lazy Boy for many years.
Surviving are wife, Helen;
children, Carolyn (Robert) Lawson, Mickey (Carmen) Larry (Cora) and Darlene (Dude) DePew;
11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anola Frechette.
