CHURCHES, James C. – of Burt, age 72, died on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his residence with family by his side, after a long battle with cancer. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Monday, September 23, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run with full military honors. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 2PM.
James was born November 30, 1946 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late Ray and Anna (Benda) Churches. He graduated from Davison High School. James married Margaret “Peggy” Natzel on August 20, 1977. Mr. Churches is a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Buick in 2009 after 44 years of service. James enjoyed golfing and NASCAR.
Surviving are: Wife, Peggy; Children: James (Blaire), Lageana, Allen (Jeanette), Chuck, and Leslie (Eric); Several grandchildren; Sisters: Dorothy, and Roberta. Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
