Mary Ann Mehigh
Age 78 of Owosso passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sparrow Health Systems.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm with a rosary prayed at 7pm.
Mary Ann was born February 25, 1938 in Owosso, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette (Kodrick) Gall.
She graduated from St. Paul's School, class of 1957 and was originally a member of St. Paul Parish. After her marriage, she has been a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed going out to lunch on a monthly basis with her friends from St. Paul's graduating class of 1957.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She especially looked forward to trips with her family and displaying the photographs throughout her home. Mary Ann loved gardening, baking and cooking for her family. Also, she was a great pie maker. Mary Ann will be remembered by her loved ones as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She married Richard Mehigh on May 6, 1961 at St. Paul Catholic Church.
Mary Ann was employed for many years re-touching and colorizing photographs for Owosso Graphic Arts.
She is survived by her husband Richard; children Theresa (Chris) Kress and Rick (Christine) Mehigh; grandchildren Angela (Daniel) Eicholtz, Aubrey Kress, Nathan Kress, Emily Mehigh and Ricky Mehigh; brothers Joe (Debbie) Gall Jr, Ed Gall and Abe (Joanne) Gall; sisters Margie Arbour and Sue (Larry) Sanderson; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law Harry Arbour; beloved uncle Joseph and aunt Josephine Batora.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul School, St. Joseph Church or the American Diabetes Association.
