LAURETO, Frank R. “Rick” - Of Burton, age 72, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Rev. Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 10:30am Friday, January 11, 2019.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 10am Saturday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
Frank was born in Flint on December 26, 1946, the son of the late Frank and Adella (Sowa) Laureto. Frank served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. On May 27, 1978, he married Pam Adado in Flint. Frank retired from General Motors/Delphi and also worked for First Technology in Plymouth. Frank was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Davison and also enjoyed golfing and spending time up north at his cottage with family.
Surviving are wife, Pam;
sons, Scott (Sheri) Petrowski and their children, Layne and Paige, Troy (Jennifer) Petrowski and their children Jacob and Olivia;
daughter, Jennifer Loren Laureto (grandog Oliver);
Randy Davis, who Frank thought of as a son;
sister, Laurie Sinkler; brother, Dennis Baranowski;
uncles, Ray Sowa and John Adado; aunt, Julia Shaker;
brother-in-law, Skeeter Adado;
niece, Alisa Brocklehurst;
and beloved dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters and brother-in-law, Bob Sinkler.
