REID, Alice Ann – of Clio, age 66, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 2, 2012 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Pastor David S. Ferranti officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-9PM and on Wednesday from 12noon until time of services at 1 PM. Contributions may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Alice was born March 27, 1945 in Flint to Cecil and Alice (Davis) Vorhies. She lived in Clio her entire life. Alice worked for Farmer Jack for 12 years until the store closed. She enjoyed donating to the Indian tribe in Mt. Pleasant and playing bingo.
Surviving are: long time companion, Bob Moore of Clio; 4 sons, Charles Reid of Clio, Darrin (Shelly) Reid of MT, Richard (Robynn) Reid of Montrose, John (Robin) Reid of Bay City; 8 grandchildren, R.C., Gabby, Drew, Scott, Shane, Matt, Riley and Maddie; mother, Alice Vorhies of Davison, brothers, John (Toni) Vorhies of CA, David (Sharon) Vorhies of Clio; sister, Cecile Phillips of Davison; many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by: father, Cecil Vorhies; brother, Ron Vorhies; aunt Sara Stork and aunt Peg Dobbie.
