CARRIER, Larry R. – of Mt. Morris, age 75, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17 from 2-8 PM at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 11110 N. Saginaw St. in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul.
Larry was born January 11, 1941 in Flint to the late Kenneth and Ethel (Randle) Carrier. He was a resident of Mt. Morris his entire life. He served in the US Army Reserves for 6 years. Larry was united in marriage to Lucille Gasparich on October 2, 1965. Mr. Carrier retired from GM Truck and Bus with 36 ½ years seniority. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, UAW Local #598 and St. Vincent DePaul. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching NASCAR.
Surviving are: Wife, Lucille; Children: Christiana (Jeff) Brady of Clio, Larry Carrier Jr. (fiancé Julie McNulty) of Mt. Morris, Chawn (Dan) Robison of Vassar; Grandchildren: Noel Brady and Natasha Brady; Brother, Kenneth Carrier of Davison; 3 nieces. He was also preceded in death by: 2 brothers: Robert and Dennis.
