NIELSEN, David T. - of Otter Lake, age 68, passed away September 13, 2012 at McLaren Flint. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Monday, September 17, 2012 at Country Christian Church, 5677 N Lapeer Rd. North Branch, MI 48461; Pastor Rick Yarbrough officiating. Family will welcome visitors for one hour prior to the service.
David was born in Sault Ste. Marie on August 28, 1944, son of Farrell and Etta (Johnson) Nielsen. He was employed by Hamady Brothers for 31 years. David enjoyed fishing, boating, and animals. His life was his family. David loved his grandchildren.
David is survived by the love of his life for 42 years, Linda; children Alecia (David) Bays, Corine (Bill) Butler, Jean Marie (Roger) Renn, David B. Nielsen, Lorine (Roger) Hosner, Sabrina (Chuck) Barnes, LeAnna (Justin) Rives, mother Etta Price, 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his father, Farrell, sister, Judy Nielsen, 2 sons-in-law. David’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at McLaren Select Specialty for their love, support, and care they received.
