SANBORN, William J. – Of Flint, age 87, died Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Gary Koenigsknecht officiating. Mr. Sanborn will be at the church from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Entombment at Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Youth Missions.
William was born in Flint, Michigan on November 7, 1928, the son of Robert Henry and Marguerite Olive (Miner) Sanborn.
Bill was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Surviving are wife, Shirley of 67 years and their
children, Ira, Mark (Yvonne), Sharon (Michael) Gillies, Alan (Lisa), Steven, Lisa (Jody) Sanborn, Emily (Ray) Linton, William (Diane) and Brian;
20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Toni, Gloria and Zada Sanborn;
several nieces, nephews and
special friend, Carl Montpas.
He was preceded in death by infant son, David; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Thanks to his special niece, Diana Fortner, for her loving care to Bill.
