CREWS, Jack E. “EARL” – of Clio, age 90, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Larry Nelson officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2PM until the time of service at 4PM. In memory of Earl, memorial contributions may be made to Bray Road Baptist Church.
Earl was born March 11, 1927 in Samson, Alabama to the late John and Claudia (Wise) Crews. He married Wanda Nemes January 1, 1977 in Clio. Mr. Crews is a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He retired from Buick in 1986 with over 40 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #599. Earl helped build, and was the oldest remaining member of Bray Road Baptist Church, he also drove the Sunday school bus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Earl’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was an all-around family man.
Surviving are: Wife, Wanda Crews; Children: Michelle Findlay (Fiancé Howard), Michael Redick, Cathy (Dave) Logan, and Robert (Sarah) Redick; 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Amber, Andrea, Megan, Brennan, and Jillian; 1 great grandson, Tyler; Sister, Nell Chambers; Brother, Wilmer Crews; Furry companion, Joey; Several nieces and nephews. Earl was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Earl Crews; First wife, Donna Holly; Siblings: Lois Weeks, Charles Crews, and Katie.
