WILSON, Kenneth Jay “Ken” – Of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Swartz Creek, age 57, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Dennis Tanner officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ken was born in Flint, Michigan on January 14, 1960 the son of Jadie and Naomi (Waddell)Wilson and was a resident of Fort Mill, South Carolina.
He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1978.
Ken was employed by American Airlines for 30 years.
Ken was a hockey goalie for Ainsworth High School and continued to play hockey after high school. He was considered an outstanding goalie.
He was an avid Red Wings and Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving are mother, Naomi;
Sissy, Nancy Pratt and many friends.
He loved his dogs and cats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jadie Wilson; sister, Daphne Lynne; his beloved Memaw, Edith L. Pitts; uncle, Bobby Lee Waddell; great-grandparents, Bert and Nancy Bingham.
