Delaine Marie Johnson, formerly of Davison, age 87, died Thursday September 26, 2024 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday October 1, 2024, with visitation one hour before, at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Justin Dean officiating: with private inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-6 pm Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions In Delaine’s memory to the River Church, of Davison.
Delaine was born in Flint Michigan on June 30, 1937, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Grace) McMaster. She resided in the Davison area since 1978, but lived her last two years in Grand Blanc. She was joined in marriage to William Johnson in 1956. He preceded her in death in 2006. She attended Genesee schools, but graduated from Kearsley Community Schools adult education in 1974. She loved being outdoors and spent many hours gardening. Delaine and her husband Bill spent several of their retirement years traveling. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her quiet time reading. Delaine was a member of the River Church in Davison and found pleasure as a greeter and volunteer for her church family.
Surviving is daughter; Pam and husband Tom Brocklehurst, grandsons; Michael (Elizabeth) Brocklehurst, David (Brittani Lince) Brocklehurst, and her great grandsons; Calvin and Casper Brocklehurst. She also leaves sisters; Betty (Glen) Peelman, Evelyn Cox, brothers: Jerry (Colleen) McMaster, Jim McMaster, Dick (Barb) McMaster, sister-in-law Charlotte McMaster and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by sisters: Sharon Fisher, JoAnne Hosler, Brother Pastor Jack McMaster, and brother-in-law Jerry Cox. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
