NEUROHR, John F., Jr. – of Flint, age 83, passed away January 16, 2016 at Genesys Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Keith O’Neal officiating. Cremation is to follow the service. Visitation will be 2-7PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
John was born in Flint, MI on November 28, 1932, son of the late John and Barbara (Ott) Neurohr. He and his wife Corrine were married for 57 years and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2008. John was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. John took great pride in his family. John was a U.S. Army Veteran and served time in Korea. He worked at Fisher Body in Flint and retired from General Motors after 31 years.
John is survived by his children, Mike (Jody) of Flushing, Dennis (Joni) of Kansas City, MO, Robyn Turner of Clio, Tami (Carl) Yorks of Genesee Township; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; brother, Charles (Alma) of Birch Run; sister, Kaye of Florida; beloved special friend of 5 years, Georgie Brackin, who aided in John finding comfort in their golden years. John is preceded in death by his infant son Michael Dean and his sister Elizabeth.
