COLEMAN, Patricia "Diane" - Age 77, of Holly, passed away, Saturday May 30, 2020. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday June 3, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Reverend Dr. Tara Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Marion, MI. Visitation will be held 10AM - 2PM Tuesday and 10AM until time of service Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the YMCA. Diane was born December 5, 1942 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Mary Jane Riley. She married Gary Coleman on February 9, 1963. Diane graduated from Atherton High School in 1960. She was a member of Halsey United Methodist Church of Grand Blanc, volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and a member of Holly Saddle Club. She enjoyed horseback riding and rode across the state of Michigan. Diane retired from and was on the board of Directors for Dort Federal Credit Union with 20 years of service. She owned and operated Fenton Basket Company for 8 years. Along with her husband Gary, Diane was a member of Fenton Rotary Club and Consortium for Child Abuse and Neglect. During her career with Dort Federal, Diane was fortunate enough to be involved in several commercials. She made a commercial with Detroit Tiger announcer, Ernie Harwell on her back porch, she also made a commercial in a hot air balloon and was an engineer for the Huckleberry Railroad. Surviving are: husband of 57 years, Gary Coleman of Holly; daughters, Dana Weeks of NC; Julie (Ralph) Prouty of NC; grandchildren, Josh Braden, Nick Olano, Dylan Coleman, Grace Prouty, Cassidy Prouty, Brian Prouty and great grandson, Blaize Braden; sister, Lori Geror and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; four brothers, Larry Riley, Richard Riley, Butch Bencheck and Randy Bencheck; one sister, Debbie Bencheck.
