Hetzer, Joann M. – of Otisville, age 80, died Monday, January 18, 2016 in Gratiot County, as a result of an automobile accident. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 1PM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions, in Joann's memory may be made to the church. Joann was born September 27, 1935, in Argentine, Michigan to the late Edward and Minnie (Martin) McCaslin. She married Robert Hetzer on September 18, 1953, and had resided in Otisville since 1954. Joann had been a very active member of the Richfield Church of the Nazarene for over 62 years and she loved spending time with her church family. She enjoyed shopping and canning and was an avid camper. Joann was always helping someone in a time of need and was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. After 62 years of marriage, the love between Joann and Robert grew stronger every day. Surviving are: Husband, Robert; 4 children: Linda Archuleta of Chesaning, Diana (Butch) Hensley of Otisville, Lisa (Eugenio) Burgos of Flint and Sonya Hetzer of Burton; Sister, Carolyn Hetzer of Mt. Morris; Sister in law, Pat Andrews of Saint Ignace; Several nieces, nephews and many cherished friends. Joann was also preceded in death by her daughters: Jodi and Amber.
