HORTON, Josephine M. (Palma) – of Flint, age 93, passed away on November 21, 2019 at Wellbridge of Fenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will take place one hour before the mass. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
Josephine was born in Flint on September 26, 1926, daughter of the late William and Maria (Mattia) Palma. She married Clarence Horton on May 9, 1953 at St. Michaels Church in Flint; he preceded her in death on February 26, 1990. Josephine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was happiest spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her children, Nancy Horton, Steve (Paula) Horton, Kathy Horton, Pamela Horton, Janice (Dave) Caswell and Sue Horton; grandchildren, Robert (Nicole) Horton, Sara (Heather Foust) Caswell, and Tyler (Samantha) Caswell; great-grandchildren, Jay and Julia Horton: sisters, Anita Ashley and Evelyn Verkerke; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Berneice Palma; brothers, Reno, Ed and Chuck Palma; grand dog, Mister.
