LIGHT, David C. – Of Flushing, age 76, died Friday, February 8, 2013
at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint,
Father Roy Horning celebrant.
Mr. Light will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
David was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 24, 1936, the son of Clyde and LaVaughn (York) Light and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life.
On May 24, 1985 he married Rosemary Sanchez.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
David worked in sales all of his life, retiring from D & W Windows, after 16 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Rosemary;
2 children, Christopher of Rochester Hills,
Jonathan and wife Korine of Centennial, Colorado;
4 grandchildren;
special nieces, Madison, Grace and Emma Sanchez-Rollison;
step-brother, Phillip of Livonia;
uncle, Don and wife Virginia York of Mesa, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ramona and his parents.
