GREENE, Robert A. – Of Hale, formerly of Burton, age 89, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hale Creek Manor.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Monsignor Jerry Vincke officiating.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Hadley with Navy Honors.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 11.a.m.-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 14, 1926 and was a resident of Burton until moving to Hale in 1985.
Bob was a trucker, working for T.R. Moen Company.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are wife, Vivian;
children, Coleen (Bob) Braden and
Greg (Tangee) Greene;
grandchildren, Keith (Corey) Braden,
Jennifer (Matt) Atkinson,
Troy (Crystal) Greene,
Terri (Brett) Dice
Heather (Jordan) Vincke;
great-grandchildren, Brittany, Isabella, Sierra, Aaron, Nolan, Parker, Macy, Gauge and Aliahna;
great-great-grandson, Noah;
sister, Jacqueline;
step-children, Suzanne (Richard) Runyan,
Rhonda Bell,
James (Norma) Lewis,
Donald Jane) Lewis,
Wayne (Patricia) Lewis and
Dennis (Ann) Lewis;
20 step-grandchildren;
23 step-great-grandchildren
one step-great-great-grandchild;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary, in 1999; two brothers, Bernard and Jim.
