OAKS, Robert C – Of Flint, age 68, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018
at his residence in Flint, Michigan.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, G-6106 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Reverend Dr. James M. Leonard officiating.
All are invited to stay for a meal after the service.
Instead of flowers, the family requests you consider donating to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on October 11, 1950, the son of the late Lloyd Keith and Helen Gertrude (Henderson) Oaks. On January 31, 1976 he married Deborah Ilene Weidenhammer in Atlas, Michigan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc.
Mr. Oaks was employed as a janitor at Flint City Hall and later worked for GM for 29 years. He enjoyed playing chess, reading, eating gyros and spending time with close family and friends.
Surviving are wife, Deborah;
son, Jon;
brother and sister-in-law, Garry and Emma Savage; sister-in-law, Pat Oaks; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jim Miller; many cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends.
