ROH, Margaret – Of Burton, age 91, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Heavenly Acres Estate.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5496 Lippincott, Burton, Reverend Gregory E. Ewald officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church of Montrose.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Roh will be at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
Margaret was born in Flint, Michigan on May 18, 1926, the daughter of Richard and Edna (Bohms) Perrigo and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life.
On August 16, 1947 she married Waldeman Roh.
She was an avid traveler, having visited all 50 states. She studied genealogy of the family dating back to 1070.
Mrs. Roh was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was active in the American Business Women’s Association, American Historical Society of Germans from Russia; charter member of Iota Lambda and was a story teller for the Flint Public Library.
Margaret loved children, they were her passion.
She was formerly employed by Flint Warm Air Company, Bentley Schools and Corning Manufacturing.
Surviving are daughter, Julie and husband Craig Holovach;
grandsons, Steven (Jessica) and Colton;
great-grandson, Harrison;
brothers-in-law, Larry J. Roh and Bill Lipford;
sister, Sherry (Douglas) Lees;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waldeman, on January 26, 2009; sister, Nancy Lipford; brothers, Thomas, Richard and Clifford Perrigo.
