DeBUTTS, Mildred C. (Germaine) – of Flint, MI, age 93, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, September 25, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. William Wegher celebrant. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Monday, September 25, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiawasee Hospice House or Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Mildred’s memory.
Mildred was born in Boyne Falls, MI on March 17, 1924, daughter of the late Leon and Mary (Naliski) Jarema. She married Elmer DeButts on July 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2013. Mildred was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 62 years. She loved polka dancing, gardening and cooking.
Mildred is survived by 5 children, Evelyn Starr, Leona (Franklin) Dycus, Don (Rhea) DeButts, Gary DeButts and Dewayne DeButts; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sophia Pisarski and Ann Makerewicz; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Richard Starr; daughter-in-law, Sally DeButts; sister, Bernice Stachurski; 2 brothers, Stanley Germaine and Joe Germaine.
