HAYES, Max L. - Of Flint, age 86, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Flint. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
Memorial Visitation will be held 10am Monday until the time of the service at Bristol Road Church of Christ, G1315 West Bristol Road, Flint, where the Memorial Service will be held 11am Monday, March 16, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Max was born in Flint on February 11, 1929, the son of the late Harry and Talma Hayes. He married Betty Staple. His joys in life were spending time with family and friends. Max especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Max was employed with GM Buick City. He enjoyed MSU football games and was a lifetime member of the Masons and Shriners. His body was donated to MSU School of Medicine.
Surviving are wife, Betty;
sons, Bruce Hayes, Gary (Mille) Hayes and John (Jodie) Hayes;
daughter, Beth (Dave) Marshke;
14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;
and 4 sisters.
Max was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Susan Hayes.
