Stratman, Thomas M. – of Clio, age 73, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial will follow in West Vienna Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 1-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the K of C Assembly #510 – “Wrap A Vet” campaign.
Tom was born March 18, 1946, in Walled Lake, Michigan, to the late Clement and Dorothy (Sheehan) Stratman. He was a lifelong resident of Clio and graduated from Clio High School in 1964. Tom married Shari Maison on June 24, 1967. He was a U.S. Army, Vietnam War veteran. Tom retired from General Motors’ Fisher Guide and Truck & Bus Divisions with 44 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, softball, golf, swimming, euchre, poker, and karaoke.
Surviving are: Wife, Shari; Son, Kris Stratman (Amy Gunn) of Clio; 2 grandchildren: Brooke and Graceyn; Brother and sisters: Clem (Janice) Stratman, Patricia (Larry) LaFrombois, Harold (Karen) Stratman, Dorothy (Herb) Bemis, Mary Lou Booth, Charles Stratman, Jack (Evelyn) Maison, Bill Maison, and Craig (Deb) Maison; Tom was also preceded in death by his son, Troy, on January 28, 1995, his mother and father in law: Melvin and Virginia Maison, and his niece, Lisa Maison.
